Romance Authors Talk: Ali Hazelwood, Nikki Payne, and Denise Williams
Monday, February 267:00—8:00 PMZoom
Authors Ali Hazelwood, Nikki Payne, and Denise Williams will discuss their latest romance novels in this exciting panel discussion and audience Q&A.
Ali Hazelwood is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Love, Theoretically and The Love Hypothesis, as well as a writer of peer-reviewed articles about brain science, in which no one makes out and the ever after is not always happy. Originally from Italy, she lived in Germany and Japan before moving to the US to pursue a PhD in neuroscience. When Ali is not at work, she can be found running, eating cake pops, or watching sci-fi movies with her three feline overlords (and her slightly-less-feline husband). Her latest is Bride, a paranormal romance published on February 6.
By day, Nikki Payne is a curious tech anthropologist asking the right questions to deliver better digital services. By night, she dreams of ways to subvert canon literature. Nikki is a member of Smut U, a premium feminist writing collective, and a cat lady with no cats. Her latest is Sex, Lies and Sensibility, a contemporary diverse retelling of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility published on February 13.
Denise Williams wrote her first book in the 2nd grade. I Hate You and its sequel, I Still Hate You, featured a tough, funny heroine, a quirky hero, witty banter, and a dragon. Minus the dragons, these are still the books she likes to write. After penning those early works, she finished second grade and eventually earned a PhD. Denise lives in Iowa and can usually be found reading, writing, or thinking about love stories. Her books have been listed as an Indie Next pick, Library Reads pick, and received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Library Journal. Her latest is Technically Yours, a contemporary workplace romance published in December.
