Best-selling author Paul Clerici takes us through the history of this colorful 26.2-mile long journey from its beginnings in 1897 to present day - mile by mile, town by town, story by story. With his unique experience and knowledge, Paul brings the great race to life through informative, humorous, and enlightening detail that includes stories about every moment, landmark, and portion of the course including the beginning of the race in Ashland; various start lines in Hopkinton; the year in which a train cut through the race in Framingham; the Scream Tunnel of women at Wellesley College; the Johnny Kelley statue in Newton; the various finish lines in Boston, and much more.

Paul's books include Boston Marathon History by the Mile and Images of Modern America: The Boston Marathon. Copies will be available for purchase and signing following the presentation.
